Here in the Economic Assistance unit, we work with the user's needs at the center. Our goal is to strengthen the individual's path to independence and self-sufficiency through increased user participation. We work in modern facilities in Sundbyberg City Hall, located in Hallonbergen, and have close collaboration with other units within welfare and care.
The unit consists of 14 social workers, two senior social workers, four administrative case handlers, one employment support handler, and one handler for estate and personal funds cases. With us you will also find two team leaders who offer close and coaching leadership, as well as a unit manager responsible for operations, personnel, and budget.
We regularly have social work students with us for their field-based education and within our trainee program. In total, we are 24 employees who together form an engaged and competent work team.
Our unit works with both short-term and long-term cases within economic assistance, where we strive to provide professional support with a focus on the individual's opportunities and independence.
We are now looking for a social worker who wants to become part of our experienced team and work with short-term cases.
As a social worker, you are part of a team consisting of social workers and administrative case handlers. Your work is about creating change for our users through social change work. You have an interest in developing the operation together with other employees. We offer all new employees competence development and support in daily work.
Your tasks include investigating and assessing the right to economic assistance, but above all, working with social change work that mobilizes and develops the applicant's own ability and competence. There should be a clear child and user perspective in our work, with the goal that our employees feel involved and proud of their work. As support in the work, we have administrative case handlers to free up time for social change work.
We want you to have a degree in social work. Experience with authority work within economic assistance is a merit. You have knowledge and experience of motivational interviewing (MI), the assessment tool Instrument X, and the business system Combine.
We are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible, and open with good collaboration skills. You have a very good ability to express yourself both orally and in writing. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
