Your responsibilities As a social secretary in financial assistance, you work with investigating, assessing, and making decisions regarding financial assistance. In this role, you meet people in different life situations and work with lawful public administration where dialogue, participation, and the individual's circumstances are central. You also handle applications for estate declarations and provisional estate management, as well as investigate incorrect payments. Through a solution-focused work approach, you support people in strengthening their own resources and taking steps toward self-sufficiency. You motivate, guide, and create conditions for people to move forward to work, studies, or other activities that strengthen their independence. In connection with the implementation of the new activity requirement, the operations are in an exciting development phase with a focus on creating even better opportunities for individuals to achieve self-sufficiency. Through active efforts, close collaboration, and individually tailored solutions, you play an important role in strengthening motivation, increasing pathways to activity, and contributing to more people establishing themselves in the job market. Your qualifications We are looking for you with academic education in a relevant field, for example social work or behavioral science education. You have either completed your education or are studying your final term. You have an interest in social work and the courage to make a difference for vulnerable people in society. To be able to maintain and understand different types of conversations and to properly maintain documentation, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish. If you have previous experience working within social services or other public administration, we see that as a major plus. It is also an advantage if you have worked in the Lifecare system, have knowledge of social law, and conversation methodology. As a person, you are confident, stable, and have a natural ability to meet people in their unique life situations. You enjoy working with others and are both responsive and clear in your communication. In social work, you are often faced with situations that cannot be solved in a routine manner, therefore it is important that you are flexible and can adapt to changing circumstances. In these situations, it is necessary that you sometimes reconsider both your perspective and your working method to find solutions to complex problems, a process that requires both courage and patience.
