Within Child and Youth Social Services, there are two child units working with children ages 0–12. The operation is led by an area manager. Each unit consists of a unit manager and two group leaders who together support and guide two investigation groups of approximately eight social workers each. The Internal Support Unit assists the social workers through administrators, SIG coordinators/social workers collaborating with police, coordinators, and school coordinators. Your role As a social worker at the child units, you work with investigating children's need for protection and support as well as following up on approved interventions. We emphasize involving and maintaining good collaboration with the child, parents, and their network. You collaborate with other colleagues within social services, schools, police, and other actors around the child. We strive to meet the need for interventions in the home. There is also a clear structure in the work and well-developed procedures. In your daily work, you have support from group leaders, the unit manager, colleagues, and the area's coordinators, as well as access to external supervision. Our staff and managers have a strong drive to find new paths and methods in our work. To succeed, we need more ambitious social workers who contribute with their ideas and commitment. We need you here! Your competence and experience We are looking for someone who has: A degree in social work (Socionom). Good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing. We consider the following as advantageous: Experience and familiarity with investigation work within social services, preferably with children and youth. Good ability to conduct an investigation in a purposeful and legally secure manner. Knowledge and experience with BBIC, Signs of Safety. Being updated on relevant legislation. We are looking for someone who prefers to work independently and who has good structure in their work. As a person, you are flexible and stay calm in stressful situations. You have an easy time collaborating and see the importance of building good relationships. We are looking for someone who is used to taking own initiative, has empathetic ability, and has a strong interest in working in a multicultural area. We place great emphasis on personal abilities and skills. Other information To work with children and youth within Stockholm City, you must be able to provide a criminal record extract.
