Right now we're recruiting new colleagues to our Children and Youth team in Järfälla Municipality. At Child and Youth Investigation, we work to make a difference in children's and young people's lives, always with their best interests in focus. Children and Youth is part of Individual and Family Services (IFO) and we work in three smaller units consisting of 14 social secretaries, 2 group leaders, and a committed unit manager. WORK TASKS As a social secretary for children and youth, you work with official duties, investigations, and follow-ups on support measures for children and young people aged 0-20 years and their families. Your main task is to investigate the child's situation and make legally secure assessments according to the Social Services Act and LVU, with the child's best interests and participation in focus. The work involves gathering information through conversations with children, guardians, and networks, as well as through collaboration with, for example, schools, health and medical services, and other authorities. You are responsible for planning, conducting, and documenting investigations according to BBIC and ensuring that granted support measures contribute to positive and sustainable change for the child and family. You work from a systemic perspective where the focus is on identifying the family's and network's strengths, resources, and risk factors. An important part of the work is listening to the family's own solutions and creating conditions for participation and motivation for change. The role also includes formulating assessments, decision bases, and statements, as well as contributing to individual solutions that make a difference in children's and families' lives. You work closely with colleagues and group leaders in daily work and are expected to drive your cases forward in a structured, professional, and legally secure manner. At the same time, you actively contribute to the team's shared work through collaboration, reflection, and knowledge exchange, as well as to a good working environment and the continued development of operations. QUALIFICATIONS Formally, you need to have: • A degree in Social Work • Experience with official duties is a merit • Experience with official duties within children and youth is a strong merit • Category B driving license We're looking for someone who enjoys working independently and engagedly. You work in a structured manner with good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently, and you understand what it takes to move an investigation forward. You are stable, confident, and balanced even in stressful or challenging situations. Of course, the team is there when needed and we work together.
