We are looking for social secretaries for Children and Youth, Social Services in Falun! What does the organization look like? At our Children and Family Section in Falun, you get a workplace where work environment, support, and sustainability are not just words – but something we actively work with all the time. The section consists of several parts: reception, children and youth 1 and 2, resource and family law, open care Dialogen, our own HVB BUBO as well as the supported housing UBO. You will be part of one of our five work groups within children and youth. Five smaller work groups – closer support and better conditions We are currently changing our way of working and are therefore introducing a completely new work group that will focus solely on foster care children. This means we will now become five work groups, 4 that work with investigations and interventions, which you as an applicant for this position will be part of, and 1 that works with foster care children. By creating an additional group, we reduce each group's member count and can thus offer closer support in daily operational work – both through more frequent, regular meetings with group leaders and through more room for discussion, planning, and supervision between meetings. Here you get leadership that is truly close. From autumn 2026, we work according to a completely new structure with distribution weeks. Each work group takes turns having a distribution week once every fourth week. During the distribution week, the group collectively handles incoming investigations. The other three weeks, the aim is that you work undisturbed with your own cases – without ongoing interruptions. The purpose is clear: create focus, work peace, and a more sustainable work situation. A well-developed introduction program – you are never left alone For you who are new to us, regardless of experience, we offer a solid introduction program. Our methodology supervisor, together with group leaders and mentors, will follow you through your first year. You will also take various trainings within the skills initiative "the professional journey" and you will receive basic training in Signs of Safety. You will attend conversations, collaboration meetings, and network meetings. You will receive support in investigations from both group leaders, mentors, and above all from our introduction responsible methodology supporter. Our goal and ambition is that you never have to stand alone in difficult or unfamiliar situations – social work is something we do together. Work tasks As a social secretary with us, you meet children, young people, and families who need support in life – and you get to make a real difference. Your task is to make qualified assessments according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Care of Young People (LVU), with the goal of creating security and stability for children and young people. You work with: • Conducting investigations • Following up and implementing decided interventions • Collaborating with colleagues, group leaders, and other actors Over time, you handle certain cases independently, but most decisions are made together in the group – we believe in the power of cooperation and shared responsibility. We believe in long-term perspective, development, and that you should grow in your professional role – while you have a sustainable work day. Qualifications For this role, the following are required: Sociology degree Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Personal characteristics We are looking for someone who is communicative, structured, empathetic, and solution-focused in your approach. You have the ability to build trust through attentive and present conduct, both in meetings with children and families and in cooperation with colleagues and other actors. As a person, we see that you are independent, but also enjoy working in a team where cooperation and shared responsibility are a natural part of everyday life. You have a good ability to structure your work and make well-founded decisions, even in complex situations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
