The Workplace Individual and Family Care is part of the Social and Education Administration in Ludvika Municipality. We have approximately 120 employees organized into five units: the Investigation Unit, the Support and Subsistence Unit, the Foster Care and Family Law Unit, the Open Care Unit, and the Employment and Integration Unit. Within IFO, both experienced and newly trained staff work together, and as a new employee you will be offered an individually tailored introduction and access to mentors. Starting in autumn 2026, the Support and Subsistence Unit will consist of 26 dedicated and knowledgeable employees working with financial assistance, intimate partner violence and honor-related violence and oppression, housing social contracts, management of personal funds, social practice, incorrect payments, handling of estate notices, and harmful substance use and addiction. Job Responsibilities Would you like a job where you have the opportunity every day to make a difference for others? As a social worker, your main responsibilities will be to investigate, assess, and make decisions about interventions for adults with harmful substance use and addiction. You will follow up on approved interventions and ensure that support is tailored to the individual's needs and in accordance with applicable legislation. The work involves close collaboration with the municipality's open care services, which offer structured treatment interventions both individually and in groups. You will also have contact with other internal and external actors to create comprehensive support for the individual. The assignment includes documentation in accordance with applicable legislation, contributing to development work within the unit, and actively participating in good cooperation within the unit. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: A degree in social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing Class B driver's license It is meritorious if you have: Experience in authority work within harmful substance use and addiction Experience with SIP (Coordinated Individual Plan) Training and experience with MI (Motivational Interviewing) Training and experience with ASI (Addiction Severity Index) Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible, and has a good ability to take own initiative.
