Work Tasks As a social worker in financial assistance, you have a central role in supporting and guiding people toward self-sufficiency. The work is varied and involves both administrative authority and change work. You meet people in different life situations and work together with them to create sustainable paths toward self-sufficiency. You will, among other things: investigate, assess, and make decisions regarding financial assistance according to the Social Services Act establish and follow up individual action plans together with the client collaborate with internal and external actors, such as Försäkringskassan, Arbetsförmedlingen, and health and medical care work in a motivating and change-oriented manner with a focus on long-term independence use structured working methods and approaches, such as MI (motivational interviewing) and Instrument X. About the Workplace Since January 1, 2025, financial assistance and adult services are brought together in a common unit within the department for needs-based support. The work team for financial assistance consists of ten social workers, a team manager, and a unit manager. We are a small work team where it is close to both the manager and colleagues. Here we help each other, share knowledge, and believe in an open climate where it is natural to ask for help and contribute to each other's development. You will receive structured introduction with a mentor, regular supervision, and continuous support from both the manager and colleagues. What We Are Looking For in You To succeed in this role, you have: a degree in social work or another relevant academic degree that the employer deems equivalent experience with administrative authority within social work experience working with people in complex life situations experience working with collaborating actors, such as Försäkringskassan, Arbetsförmedlingen, or health care experience working with financial assistance good knowledge of the Social Services Act and the social insurance system good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is meritorious if you have: experience with LifeCare training in MI a B-category driver's license. We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role, has good communication skills, and enjoys collaborating. You work in a structured manner, make well-founded decisions, and have the ability to create trusting relationships.
