Disability Care in Umeå Municipality aims to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and collaboration. Within the Disability Care Investigation unit, we meet people who need support and assistance due to functional impairments. We receive applications, conduct investigations, and make decisions according to the Social Services Act and the Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS). We follow up on decisions to ensure that users receive support for their needs. We are now hiring a social secretary within LSS to our unit! Your Tasks As a social secretary within LSS, you will meet people who need support and assistance due to functional impairments to have a good daily life. The work involves exercising authority to, in accordance with applicable legislation, current legal status, and established objectives, be responsible for receiving applications, conducting investigations, assessing, making decisions, and following up on interventions within LSS. We can offer you exciting work where you, together with your colleagues, contribute to the right intervention at the right time for Umeå Municipality's residents, on behalf of the Individual and Family Board. The position involves exercising authority within LSS in the area of functional impairments, for all age groups. About You We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience in exercising authority, preferably an experienced case worker within LSS. Additional qualifications in LSS, particularly personal assistance, are meritorious. As a social secretary within LSS, you will meet people in difficult life situations, so it is important that you as a person are secure and stable. You have good collaboration skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. We also wish that you have innovative thinking that can be put into practice and lead to results. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The position requires a Class B driver's license.
