In 2023, we were among the first municipalities to establish a first and second-line social service, a step in our adaptation for the future of social services and the new social services act. In our operations, we meet children who need coordinated and comprehensive interventions preceded by investigation. Our work is based on a target-group focus in which we investigate and coordinate interventions using evidence-based and knowledge-based methods and in collaboration with other societal actors. The operation consists of four units: a children's unit, a youth unit, a unit for interventions and specialized functions, and a unit for foster care and contact activities. Each unit is led by a unit manager and teams are led by group leaders. We work in a family-oriented and team-based manner for the benefit of our children and young people. We want our work to be characterized by shared understanding, quality, and legal certainty, and we believe it's important to develop in our work. To strengthen our quality and create conditions for you as a social worker to use your competence efficiently and with children and young people's best interests in focus, we have chosen to invest in the following support functions: - An established structure for regular support such as case reviews and external supervision. - Specialist social workers with an organization-wide mandate in areas such as methodology support, implementation, introduction, and continuing education. - A structured introduction plan for new employees. - Operations developers to support our continued development with target-group-oriented approaches. - SIP coordinators to support strengthening the quality of SIP meetings and ensuring that children and young people who need it are offered SIP meetings. - Placement coordinators to support finding external placement forms and managing agreements. - Administrators tasked with relieving and supporting social workers. - Structured assessment instruments with risk and needs assessments to detect and prevent children from becoming involved in crime. - A structure enabling remote work for those who wish it and based on operational needs. We're looking for social workers who want to be challenged and be part of our exciting development. Your assignment Social Worker (Investigation) - Ages 12-17. You investigate children and young people's needs for protection and support and follow up on approved interventions. We work in close collaboration with the child, their network, school, and police. The work is conducted with support from BBIC, SAVRY/EARL, and Signs of Safety. The work includes close collaboration with internal and external partners. What we're looking for in you As a social worker with us, it's natural that you enjoy collaborating with others but also that you can work independently. - You find it easy to build good relationships and you communicate clearly. - You have good knowledge of relevant legislation, child development, and keep up with current research. - You have the ability to limit your assignment and work calmly and methodically when those around you are stressed. We're looking for someone who can see possibilities in complex social work, collaborates easily, is flexible, curious, and keeps the child's best interests in focus. It's also important that you enjoy developing work together with colleagues and your manager. We consider it self-evident that you're responsible, have integrity, and value quality. Before you start with us, we've planned your introduction and you'll receive an introduction plan and a mentor in the unit. Currently, a remote work agreement is applied, which means you have the opportunity to, in consultation with your colleagues, work from a location other than the office two days per week if operations permit.
