About the role and your tasks The unit consists of a unit manager, 1st social secretary, administrative operations support, and 13 family foster care secretaries. Family foster care in Lund is organized so that three of the family foster care secretaries in the unit work with special focus on recruitment and assessment of new families for children in need of temporary or permanent placement. They also have special focus on emergency foster home operations, which means providing guidance during the initial period of placement and arranging meetings for our contracted emergency foster homes. We are now seeking a colleague for this role. Specifically, the following are included in the assignment as a family foster care secretary with focus on recruitment and emergency foster care: Receive and handle expressions of interest Assess emergency, network, and family foster homes Match children in need of temporary or permanent care with the right contractor Close collaboration with the child's investigating social secretary and with colleagues in the unit Guidance and training to contractors Arrange meetings for our contracted emergency foster homes About the group As a family foster care secretary in Lund Municipality, you work with the whole picture surrounding the placed child. In some cases, you are specially appointed social secretary for the child, while in other cases you are social secretary for the foster family. Two people work on the case and collaborate with the entire network around the child from a systemic perspective. This creates close cooperation within the unit and ongoing dialogue about how we can create the best conditions for our children and foster families. Special emphasis is placed on having experience in family foster care. Experience from other roles within social services or other government administration that has contributed to your insight and knowledge of children and young people is a merit. You have experience in investigation work and possess analytical ability. You enjoy meeting children and foster families and the challenges and complex situations families encounter in their assignment. You are flexible and see the task as something we solve together, and you are used to collaborating with different parts of social services to create good conditions for the placed child. We place great emphasis on you being a person who can combine commitment with a calm demeanor and the ability to prioritize and structure your work. You also value good cooperation with colleagues in your own unit and in nearby units and collaboration partners. About the recruitment process In this recruitment process, we have chosen to remove the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions to contribute to inclusive and equal recruitment.
