This position is located within the Integration and Labor Market Administration, one of eight departments in Linköping Municipality. Your Responsibilities In the role of social worker, you will process applications for economic assistance according to the Social Services Act and investigate the underlying causes and possible obstacles to self-sufficiency. The goal is for the individual to become self-sufficient as soon as possible. Work is conducted from a holistic perspective where interventions are planned together with other collaboration partners. The work includes motivational interviewing (MI) in connection with investigation work to develop clients' opportunities for self-sufficiency. Working with us provides broad insight into the welfare chain and good knowledge of how society functions at large. Your Workplace The Integration and Labor Market Administration works strategically with labor market and integration initiatives and various development projects concerning employment, establishment, and integration. The administration reports to the Labor Market Board and is responsible for, among other things, economic assistance and various employment measures. The administration comprises approximately 300 employees. Within the Employment and Subsistence Department, cases regarding economic assistance are handled by 5 units with different focuses: the Reception Unit, Employment and Subsistence 1-3, and the Integration Unit. Each unit is led by a unit manager and each unit has a unit coordinator who handles operational work. We are now seeking social workers for the Employment and Subsistence 1 and 3 units. Your workplace will be in new modern offices at Drottninggatan 45 in central Linköping. Working hours are 07:50-17:00, with shorter working days during summer months. We apply flexible time agreements. About You We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or a behavioral science degree with focus on psychology and sociology courses, or someone in the final stages of such education. Relevant coursework in social work, social law, and administrative law is meritorious. Previous experience with social authority work or working with economic assistance is also valued. We would appreciate knowledge of the LifeCare business system and the ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish, as the work involves contact with authorities and documentation. You adapt easily to changing situations and conditions. You take responsibility for your tasks and plan and structure your work efficiently.
