The guiding star for the IFO Children and Family operational area in Nybro Municipality is to be able to offer the children, young people, and their families we meet the best possible support. We strive for goal- and results-driven operations, and for us, good treatment and meeting applicable legal requirements are the highest priorities. One of the overarching goals within the operation is that children and young people, as far as possible, should be given the opportunity to live and grow up together with their family, or alternatively be reunited with their origins in another way. The direction of the operation is based on systems theory with the child's best interests in focus, where we strive to find alternative solutions in close cooperation with families and their networks. However, the operation has an explicit responsibility to provide support and protection for children and young people who need protection for shorter or longer periods and may need to be placed outside the home.
