JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a social worker in the Children and Youth division of Malung-Sälens Municipality, you will work with authority under the Social Services Act and the Act on Care of Young People, as well as other relevant legal frameworks. Your task is to safely conduct pre-assessments, investigations, assessments, make decisions, and follow up on interventions for children and young people aged 0-18 years. Your assignment will also include overall responsibility for collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. The work includes: • Handling investigations and interventions for children and young people. • Assessing protection needs and support measures for children, young people, and their families. • Preventive work and collaboration with open services, schools, healthcare, and other stakeholders. • Decision-making and follow-up on approved interventions and placed children. • Cooperation with colleagues and coordinators to ensure legally sound and efficient handling. • Working with structured interventions, such as placements and support to foster families. • In this role, you will also work closely with the reception function, family law secretaries, and foster care secretaries, where collaboration within and between groups is a natural part of daily work. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another education that the employer deems equivalent. You have good knowledge of current social legislation, are motivated to engage with the new Social Services Act, and preferably have experience working in children and youth services. You are confident in your profession, express yourself well in speech and writing, and enjoy taking own initiatives. You are responsive, collaborative, and treat people with respect - both colleagues and those you meet in your work.
