Within the Social Care Administration, approximately 1,200 engaged employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. Individual and Family Services (IFO) in Ystad Municipality includes the Child and Family Unit, the Placement Unit, the Subsistence Unit, the Labor Market Unit, the Adult Unit, and the Open Care Unit. WORK TASKS In the Child and Family Unit, we work from a systems theory perspective with a developed child perspective and use BBIC as a case management and documentation tool. We use Lifecare as our operating system. As a social worker, your main work tasks are: • Case management according to the Social Services Act and Care of Young Persons Act with a focus on children and young people aged 0-18 years, their families, and networks • Investigate and assess children's and families' resources and need for assistance • Make decisions about and follow up on various interventions at home. Placed children are followed up by another unit. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. A requirement is that you have current experience in authority work in the form of investigations involving children and young people. You have good knowledge of child development and you have a strong commitment to children and young people. You see the child's network as an important resource in change work. As a social worker, you need to be stable and secure, and have the ability to remain calm when there is often a high pace. Furthermore, you need to have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You will meet many people in crisis and/or with complex life situations, which means you yourself must be able to see possibilities, convey hope, and treat people respectfully. You need to have the ability to work both independently and with others. You also need to be able to work in a structured manner by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well.
