As one of our colleagues transitions to another position, we are seeking a social worker in the children and family services area within Individual and Family Services. Social workers in this unit work with investigations of cases concerning children and young people, as well as implementation and follow-up of decided interventions. The work includes investigative and follow-up conversations with children, young people, and parents, documentation, and collaboration with other authorities and activities. We want to meet children and families in need of help in the best possible way. It should be legally secure, accessible, and with the children's best interests in mind. We also offer regular professional development alongside meaningful, exciting, and varied work. You will be part of a work team with other social workers, many of whom have extensive experience working within social services. We work with mentorship where newly hired social workers are assigned an experienced mentor for support during their initial time. We are also clear that case complexity increases with experience, ensuring that as a new employee you always feel you have the opportunity to grow into the role of social worker. We also have continuous external supervision. Additionally, all employees in the unit have the opportunity to participate in the Professional Journey, which is a national introductory program for social workers in child and youth services. Beyond this, you are responsible for working toward the unit's goals, participating in continuous improvement of operations, and contributing to job satisfaction and a good work environment. YOUR PROFILE We believe in the right competence in the right place. We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker and preferably has experience with authority work within social services in some form. You should feel comfortable expressing yourself both verbally and in writing. It is advantageous if you also have experience working with vulnerable children and their families. A driver's license (category B) is required for this position. To succeed in the role, you need to be solution-focused and see possibilities in people's conditions for development. You have good collaboration skills, are good at listening, and have a desire to drive development work within the unit. It is important that you can work on your own initiative and have a very good ability to work independently, while also seeing the work team as an asset. You are organized and can handle administrative tasks, and are able to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize based on current conditions.
