About the job
At the Unit for Placed Children, we work to ensure that children and young people who cannot live at home have a safe and stable life. We meet children, young people, parents, foster families and various partners and work together to create the best conditions for each child.
We know that the assignment is both challenging and rewarding. Therefore, we place great emphasis on collaboration, collegial support, and a work environment where we help each other.
The position is a permanent full-time role (100%), with a start date by agreement.
Your responsibilities
No two days are alike, but your tasks will include:
Following up on placements and meeting with children and young people
Maintaining contact with guardians, foster families, and residential care staff
Assessing children's need for care and support
Making decisions and documenting in accordance with applicable legislation
Writing statements for courts and other authorities
Collaborating with schools, healthcare, police, and other partners.
We work according to BBIC and Signs of Safety and strive to always focus on the best interests of the child. Since we have children placed throughout Sweden, travel is part of the position.
Who are you?
You are trained as a social worker and have experience in public administration within children and young people services.
You are confident in your professional role and enjoy combining investigative work with building good relationships.
You are attentive, structured, and can make decisions even in complex situations.
You express yourself well in speech and writing and are curious about continuing to develop within legislation, methods, and social work.
You have a valid driver's license (category B).
