JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Do you want to make a difference for children and families at an early stage? We are now seeking a dedicated social advisor who wants to work preventatively and supportively with families, colleagues, and partners at the Family Center in Ljungby. About the Position The position is located within the Social Administration's open care services and belongs to the Advice & Service unit, where you will become part of a team of eight colleagues. Your primary workplace is the Family Center, where you work closely with open preschool and child health services (BVC). The Family Center is an important meeting place for families with children. Through collaboration between different professions, we create good conditions for children's health and development and strengthen parents' sense of security and networks. Job Responsibilities As a social advisor, you work to support and assist families early on, before problems or difficulties have grown serious. Your work is characterized by accessibility, preventative measures, and close collaboration with other professionals. Your duties include: Providing advice, support, and guidance conversations to children, young people, and parents. Conducting parenting support programs and group activities. Participating in the Family Center's collaborative work and development. Collaborating with open preschool, child health services, preschools, schools, and other actors. Assisting with home visits together with child health services. Contributing to developing preventative work for children and families in the municipality. You will be an important part of the Family Center team and work to strengthen families' own resources and create hope and opportunities for positive change. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: Holds a degree in social work or has other qualifications that meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for handling child and youth cases. Has experience working with children, young people, and families. Has a strong ability to build trusting relationships. It is advantageous if you: Are trained in parenting support programs such as ABC, COPE, or COS-P. Have experience with preventative or open care-focused work.
