Based on this, we are now seeking two committed and action-oriented social pedagogues/student coaches who will focus on grades F-3 and grades 4-6 respectively - but at the same time, we are all here for all our students! Description Ahead of the school year start 26/27, Höglunda School will recruit staff for student coaching assignments. These are two positions with tasks formulated based on students' social needs and the school's compensatory mission. Currently, one position is more focused on the lower grades and one on the middle grades, but these are two positions that require great flexibility based on the needs that arise in the operations. Key focus areas at startup are social mentorship in certain grade levels and based on that, actively work with norms and values, provide social support during transitions and non-teaching time such as educational lunch, breaks, etc. The social pedagogue/student coach will be the foundation for creating support structures in the school day at both group and individual levels. The socialpedagogical assignment aims to work closely with educators to enable that profession's focus on developing teaching. The assignment will be developed in close consultation with the student welfare team, educators, after-school care staff and school management based on systematic quality work. Work Tasks The tasks are expected to include, among other things: monitoring of problematic school absenteeism/attendance, contact with guardians, conflict management, coaching conversations focused on students' strategies for managing the school day but also leading and being part of implementing development work around non-teaching time, i.e., breaks, transitions, etc. The position also includes independently developing support materials, identifying development areas and actively working with the school social learning environment with and around our students as well as initiating collaboration with colleagues based on this. The assignment addresses both the school's operations and the after-school care operations. Qualifications We are looking for you who has a positive outlook and enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic school environment with a lot happening at the same time. You are strong at relationship building and good at motivating while being clear and adapting your approach and efforts based on students' and colleagues' needs and the school's values. In your work, you are organized and responsible. Based on our routines and guidelines, you are confident in making your own decisions when needed. You enjoy, and have an aptitude for, collaborating and cooperating with others, both internally and externally. Terms We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker, behaviorist, or has at least a two-year post-secondary education such as treatment specialist/social pedagogue. It is also an advantage if you: have experience working in treatment for adults, children and young people have experience with low-affective approach, rePULSE, MI, solution-focused work methods, ICDP or other evidence-based methods have experience with documentation work have experience working with students from different backgrounds The position requires that you master Swedish in speech and writing. Multilingualism is an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability beyond educational requirements.
