We are seeking a social pedagogue for our supportive housing facility for youth who need support on their path toward independence. Here you will work closely with young people in their daily lives and serve as an important adult figure who creates structure, security, and hope for the future. About the Role and Responsibilities As a social pedagogue at the supportive housing facility, you will provide professional adult support in the young people's daily lives. The work includes, among other things: Provide daily support, guidance, and care based on each young person's individual needs. Motivate and support youth in their studies, employment, and meaningful leisure activities. Strengthen young people's independence in matters related to housing, studies, finances, relationships, and daily structure. Support contact with family and important networks. Serve as a contact person and oversee follow-up, documentation, and coordination for a number of young people. Document, establish, follow up on, and work according to implementation plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and internal functions. Collaborate with schools and other functions important to the young person. In addition to this, each employee has special areas of responsibility based on interest and experience. The work takes place in close collaboration with colleagues and young people. The facility is staffed 24 hours a day, which means work in the evenings and on weekends. We Are Looking for You To be a good fit for this role, you need to have: Post-secondary education as a social pedagogue, behavioral scientist, social worker, or equivalent qualification. A genuine commitment to social work with youth. B-class driving license. Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. It is advantageous if you have: Previous experience working at supportive housing, residential care facilities, or other socially-oriented work. Experience working with harmful substance use and addiction. Knowledge of neurodevelopmental disorders. The youth housing facility provides supportive housing for young women and men aged 16–20. The operation includes both corridor-style housing and apartments for young people who have achieved a higher degree of maturity and independence, or who for various reasons cannot live together with others. We work in an individualized and relationship-focused manner to give young people the support they need to develop independence, take responsibility, and ultimately achieve financial self-sufficiency. Our approach is continuously developed based on experience, follow-up, and the facility's needs, and we are looking for you to actively contribute to the continued development of our operations. We are part of the Employment and Social Services Department where approximately 600 employees provide support to Lund residents who need social services. Together, we ensure that children and young people have the best possible upbringing. We consider the situation of the entire family and ensure that no one comes to harm. This involves providing support to adults with harmful substance use and addiction or mental disabilities, those who need financial assistance, guardianship, administration, or support to study or work, as well as refugees.
