JOB DUTIES As a social pedagogue at Källan, you work in a small setting with few students in grades 4-9, with high staff density and great opportunities to make a real difference. You'll have time to build relationships, work long-term, and be an important part of students' journey back to functioning schooling. With us, you are an important adult in the students' entire school day. You work closely with students during lessons, breaks, and in other situations where support, guidance, and relationship-building work are needed. Through your presence and approach, you contribute to creating security, structure, and good conditions for learning and development. A central part of the role is building and maintaining trusting relationships with both students and guardians. You work with motivational conversations, individual support measures, and group-strengthening activities. You help students develop social skills, practice conflict resolution, and find effective strategies to succeed at school and in their free time. As a social pedagogue, you also play an important role in the program's work on safety, study environment, and attendance. When needed, you work to promote attendance through outreach efforts and home visits together with colleagues. The work is conducted in close collaboration with Källan's teachers, students' regular schools, and other important stakeholders around the student. You actively participate in meetings and cooperation with, for example, social services, child and adolescent psychiatric services, rehabilitation services, and other external partners when deemed beneficial for the student's development and schooling. Documentation is a natural part of the role. At Källan, we always start from students' strengths, resources, and possibilities. Together, we work so that each student experiences that the school day is understandable, manageable, and something they can be part of. QUALIFICATIONS We seek you who have a social pedagogy degree, social work degree, or other higher education, university, vocational school, or folk high school education that the employer deems equivalent. We would like you to have experience working with children and young people and experience with students in need of special support. You have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have experience with: • work within school or other activities for children and young people • students with neuropsychiatric disabilities • problematic school absenteeism • social change work • motivational interviewing (MI) • ART or other methods for social skills training • cooperation with guardians and external authorities • CBT To succeed in the role, you need to be persistent and relationship-oriented. You have the ability to persist and endure even when change takes time, and you see opportunities where others see obstacles. You work independently, take initiative, and can plan, structure, and prioritize your work based on the program's and students' needs. We value that you have understanding for different professional roles and contribute to good cooperation around the student's best interests. You have good communicative ability, are accustomed to documentation, and express yourself very well in Swedish, both spoken and written. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A criminal background check from the police is required for the position. A B driving license is required for the position. Employment Form: Permanent employment.
