Östergötlands Stadsmission's residential care facility for women in central Linköping has been a safe place since 1993 for women from across the country living with substance use issues and experiences of violence. Through qualified treatment, supportive relationships, and genuine human dignity, we help women process their trauma, break destructive patterns, and strengthen their ability to live independent lives. Our treatment is based on evidence-based methods in accordance with the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines and is conducted by a dedicated team consisting of social pedagogues, treatment coordinators, a therapist, and a director. Together, we work to create lasting change and new opportunities for the women who come to us. Now we're looking for a social pedagogue who wants to be part of our skilled and engaged team. About the job As a social pedagogue, you're an important part of the women's journey of change. You work closely with residents during their treatment and help create safety, structure, and motivation in daily life. You're part of an interdisciplinary team where you together drive and follow up on treatment processes. The work is characterized by an environmental therapeutic and relational approach, where you support the women in managing emotions, challenges, and life changes that arise during treatment. In this role, you're responsible for: - Being a contact person for a number of admitted women - Conducting individual supportive conversations and leading group activities - Motivating and supporting the women in their change process - Contributing to a safe, stable, and caring living environment - Supporting the women in daily routines and planning for life after treatment - Collaborating with colleagues and external partners - Drug testing and supporting clients in medication management (self-care) - Documenting and record-keeping according to organizational procedures and applicable legislation Is this you? We're looking for someone with genuine commitment to people in vulnerable life situations and who meets each individual with respect, attentiveness, and belief in change. You're secure in yourself, find it easy to build trusting relationships, and see possibilities where others see obstacles. You're communicative, responsible, and able to both work independently and as part of a team. At the same time, you're flexible and adapt your work based on the women's, colleagues', and the organization's needs. We also see that you share Östergötlands Stadsmission's values and have a norm-critical approach in your work. We're looking for someone who has: - Completed post-secondary education as a social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, social worker, or other education that the employer considers equivalent - A Class B driver's license It's a merit if you have: - Experience in social work with people in vulnerable life situations - Knowledge of or experience with gender issues, intimate partner violence, and crisis and trauma processing - Basic knowledge of substance use issues - Experience working in substance use care, abuse support, and comorbidity - Further training in, for example, CRA, ASI, MI, ÅP, or TMO Personal qualities We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Employment type: Permanent position with 6 months probation Start date: Planned start date is October 1, but can be adjusted by agreement Scope: 85% position, corresponding to 37 hours per week Working hours: - Rotating schedule with irregular hours - On-call duty (sleeping on-site) - Work approximately 3–4 days per week - Work every other weekend The working hours follow a rotating schedule, which gives you good opportunity for recovery and a good balance between work and personal life.
