About Viljan Varla HVB Viljan Varla is located in a quiet residential area in Kungsbacka and provides a safe and homely environment for young people between 14-20 years of age. We have seven places. The facility serves girls and boys with psychosocial challenges, norm-breaking or destructive behavior, and young people with unstable life situations. We work with a focus on participation, structure, and development in everyday life. Through close collaboration with social services, schools, guardians, and other key stakeholders, we create conditions for young people to reach their goals and build a meaningful future. Our work is based on skills programs and trauma-informed care (TMO), motivational interviewing (MI), and low-arousal approaches (LAB). We actively engage in social skills training and individually tailored treatment interventions. The facility operates on a rotating schedule with day, evening, weekend, and on-call shifts. About the Role of Social Pedagogue We work with commitment in everything surrounding our clients. The role of social pedagogue involves planning, implementing, and following up on educational and treatment interventions based on individual needs. The work is built on creating safe relationships, motivating change, and strengthening individuals' capacity for independence. It also includes documenting interventions and participating in planning meetings and development work. You will serve as a support for clients, and together you will develop strategies to achieve goals in everyday life. You will be the contact person for assigned young people. Main Responsibilities: Provide individual support in daily activities, social training, and skills development. Work according to implementation plans, treatment methods, and educational interventions. Conduct structured conversations, motivational interviews, and use other evidence-based methods. Write journal entries, implementation plans, risk assessments, and reports according to current guidelines. Collaborate with colleagues, social services, schools, healthcare providers, and families. Create a stable, safe, and predictable environment; handle conflicts and set boundaries. Plan and implement activities that strengthen participants' social and personal development. Qualifications You are relationship-building and have a strong ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in an attentive manner, and you enjoy working with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see individuals' needs. You need to have a good ability to collaborate with your colleagues and see things from multiple perspectives. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: Education as a social worker, behavioral scientist, social pedagogue, or 400 YHP social pedagogue/treatment pedagogue, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. B-class driver's license Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written Good computer skills, experience with documentation. Meritorious: Previous experience working with young people in vulnerable life situations. Treatment skills, both practical and theoretical. Employment Terms Position: Social Pedagogue Employment Type: Permanent, with a 6-month probationary period. Position Level: 90 - 100% Working Hours: Day/Evening/Weekend. On-call shifts.
