Teaching Assistant/Substitute/Student Support Assistant We at Distra are now looking for a social pedagogue who would be interested in strengthening the school's adult presence and the school's student welfare team! It is advantageous if you feel comfortable with and have experience in: Strengthening adult presence in both lessons and during breaks and recess Having an active role in the school's equal treatment efforts Documenting your work and working closely with the student welfare team at the school Participating in and conducting investigations of harassment cases Conflict management between students Organizing and running adult-supervised break activities and holiday activities Substituting for teachers Supporting mentors in complex mentoring cases Being the school's contact person with social services Being the school's contact person for any incarcerated students and coordinating work around them. We would like to see that you as an applicant have formal education from a physical educational institution and completed practical internship (LiA) with good grades. The work tasks will primarily be to strengthen a classroom and be an extra resource for students who need help getting started and understanding assignments. To succeed with our students, a genuine interest in young people and an understanding that everyone is different is required. It is advantageous if you have worked with young people with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, ADD, and students within the autism spectrum. Our focus is on well-being and security where everyone should feel seen and be able to have a say. We have small teaching groups with approximately 15-24 students per group. This gives us greater opportunities to help each student reach their goals. It is advantageous if you have worked in a school before and preferably in collaboration with a student welfare team. In a vocational-oriented education, most of our students have applied based on a profession, and this is your challenge: to dare to challenge and support the students in theoretical subjects. With us you will find all students - those who need pure skills training and those who need stimulation and to be challenged.
