Sjöbyskolan, located in the middle of the village of Horred in Marks Municipality, has its roots in the historical culture and textile region. The location, three miles west of Varberg, offers a rich experience of recreational opportunities. The school has access to fine facilities including a large sports hall and a schoolyard with a "nature plot." The school focuses on development work around teaching quality as well as safety and study peace. In collaboration with Karlstad University and the Education Department, the school conducts development work to promote student learning, which also includes after-school activities. Once a week, staff meet together with a lead teacher to have professional collegial conversations that should lead to increased and well-functioning cooperation, where students and guardians can see that we work according to a common thread in all our activities from preschool class to grade 6. The school has two management groups, both led by the principal. The strategic group includes the school's lead teacher and principal. The operational group consists of team leaders from all levels, after-school staff, and a school administrator. This ensures that school development and daily operational work go hand in hand. The school has a very good student environment where leadership, student health services, and other staff work closely with students and guardians. This is to promote, prevent, and resolve any conflicts. The student health team is complete and consists of a principal, school nurse, counselor, school psychologist, special education teacher, and special education specialist. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as a social pedagogue, you will support students who need extra assistance to manage the full school day. This involves close collaboration with teaching staff, after-school personnel, and special education teachers. The work is organized together with teaching staff, special education teachers, and the after-school team leader. The position is 100% with fixed hours each day. The role may also include evening work for parent meetings or development conversations. QUALIFICATIONS Educated social pedagogue Completed education of at least two years of studies as a social pedagogue For you to thrive in this work, we believe you handle stress constructively and maintain a good mood under pressure and setbacks. You adapt and find "win-win" solutions through a humble focus on the common goal, which for us means that the student achieves their goals and obtains the results needed to move forward after completing compulsory school.
