Treatment Assistants for the Staffing Unit
About the Position
The Staffing Unit is looking for you to work as an hourly treatment assistant within our operations located throughout Gothenburg City. As part of our team, you contribute with security and continuity during regular staff absences. The work is varied and provides broad experience in social work within the municipality's service areas.
As an hourly employee, you plan your own availability, but we would like you to have the possibility to work 2–3 shifts per week, though this is not a requirement.
Our operations are staffed all days of the week, which gives you as an hourly employee the opportunity to work day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Our operations have staffing needs during the times the operations are open and you who are interested should be able to work both day and evening shifts. However, night and on-call shifts may also be relevant at certain operations. As an hourly employee, you are expected to continuously update your availability.
About the Operations
Our operations are directed toward individuals with social and/or mental health issues. There may be both active substance abuse and mental health disabilities, with or without comorbidities. Several operations have no requirement for sobriety, which places demands on professional conduct, stability, and a secure approach.
Work Tasks
Support and motivate residents in their daily lives. Work based on individual implementation plans. Take responsibility for documentation, planning, and follow-up of interventions. Handle acute situations and make appropriate assessments while also collaborating with colleagues and other professionals to create a safe and structured environment.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
Ongoing or completed higher education in social work, social pedagogy, or other behavioral science education deemed equivalent.
Good ability to collaborate and work independently.
Confidence in meeting people in crisis and handling challenging situations in a calm and respectful manner.
A non-confrontational and professional approach.
Experience working in social support, substance abuse care, or psychiatry is a merit. Knowledge and experience of the methods MI (Motivational Interviewing), LAB (Low-Arousal Approach), and ÅP (Relapse Prevention) is also a merit.
Other
Driver's License B is a requirement as driving may occur in the position.
An extract from the background and suspicion register is required before employment.
