Riga Social Service Riga Social Service announces a competition for the position of social assistance organizer (Level 1) (profession code 3412 03) Riga Social Service is a subordinate institution of the Welfare Department of Riga City Municipality, which provides social assistance, organizes and delivers social services, and ensures assistant services to residents of Riga within the municipality. The purpose of the position is to evaluate and ensure the provision of social assistance to meet people's basic needs. Accept and register applications from social assistance applicants, assess the person's social and material situation, and prepare subsistence declarations. We will entrust you with: informing clients about their rights to social assistance, the possibilities and procedures for realizing these rights, as well as their obligations to cooperate in receiving social assistance; assessing the social and material situation of a person (family), preparing a Subsistence Declaration, processing electronically received "Subsistence Declarations"; accepting and registering applications from social assistance applicants in the municipality's social assistance information system SOPA; recording and maintaining computerized records of granted and received assistance; providing accurate and understandable answers to client inquiries, etc.; preparing drafts of administrative acts and informational letters in accordance with regulatory requirements. We expect: Level 1 higher professional education or Level 2 higher professional or academic education, or students obtaining education in social assistance, social work, or charitable social work study programs, as well as at least short-cycle higher education; State language proficiency at C1 level (highest level); ability to navigate regulatory acts; excellent computer and office equipment skills; communication skills and ability to interact with people; ability to make independent decisions within your competence.
