Riga Social Service Riga Social Service announces a competition for social assistance coordinator (Level 1) positions (profession code 3412 03) Riga Social Service is a subordinate institution of the Welfare Department of Riga City Municipality that provides social assistance, organizes and delivers social services, and ensures assistant services to Riga residents within the municipality. The purpose of the position is to assess and ensure the provision of social assistance to meet people's basic needs. Accept and register applications from social assistance applicants, evaluate the person's social and material situation, and complete income declaration forms. You will be entrusted with: informing clients of their rights to social assistance and the opportunities and procedures for exercising these rights, as well as their obligations to participate in receiving social assistance; assessing the social and material situation of a person (family), completing an Income Declaration form, processing electronically received "Income Declaration" forms; accepting and registering social assistance applicant submissions in the municipality's social assistance information system SOPA; registering and maintaining computerized records of allocated and received assistance; providing accurate and understandable answers to clients' questions, etc.; preparing drafts of administrative acts and informational letters in accordance with regulatory requirements. We expect: Level 1 higher professional education or Level 2 higher professional or academic education, or students pursuing education in social assistance, social work, or charitable social work programs, as well as at least short-cycle higher education; State language proficiency at C1 level (highest level); ability to navigate regulatory documents; excellent computer and office equipment skills; interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with people; ability to make independent decisions within your competence.
