Daugavpils State City Municipality Institution "Social Service" invites applications for SOCIAL MENTOR (permanent position) Key Job Responsibilities: Promote the child's/young person's personal growth, emotional well-being, social skills development, and independence by providing individualized support, encouragement, and a positive adult role model; Help children/young people acquire practical skills: money management, budget planning, behavior in public places, communication with adults and peers; Conduct shopping activities together with children/young people; Ensure proper documentation of all purchases: collect and process receipts, delivery notes and other supporting documents, prepare expense reports; perform inventory write-offs; Record children's/young people's participation in activities and prepare daily or periodic reports on progress achieved; Comply with the institution's financial discipline and internal procedures. Requirements for Candidates: Preferred: higher education in social work, pedagogy, psychology or a related field; Latvian language proficiency at B level, stage 1; health status meeting the requirements established by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 219 of 10.03.2009 "Procedure for Mandatory Health Examinations"); preference given to candidates with experience working with children; knowledge of child and youth development characteristics, social behavior models and support methods; ability to organize and conduct practical, social and life skills development activities; ability to plan budgets, make purchases and responsibly handle the institution-issued bank card in accordance with established procedures; ability to prepare documents, maintain expense records, prepare write-off documents and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements; ability to resolve daily situations, maintain emotional stability and make responsible decisions.
