Aizkraukles novada Sociālais dienests Registration No: 40900012011 invites applications for a permanent position of a social worker in the support department for families with children Number of vacancies: 1 (one full-time position) Monthly salary – 1423 euro. Work location: Daugavas iela 1, Aizkraukle, Aizkraukles novads, LV-5101/Melioratoru iela 1, Koknese, Aizkraukles novads, LV-5113. Key job responsibilities: provide information, consultations, and support to families; assess the need for social services and organize service provision; evaluate family social functioning, identify problems, and identify resources; assess risk of harm in families where children face unfavorable conditions for development; agree with clients on the cooperation process; develop social rehabilitation/cooperation plans and prevention programs for minors; assess the needs and resources of orphans and youth without parental care after reaching adulthood, evaluate changes in their social situation over a two-year period; maintain client files ensuring documentation of the social case management process in electronic/paper format and maintain computerized records of provided services and archive documents. Requirements for candidates: education – master's degree in social work; specialized training course in child rights protection (preferred); ability to navigate legislation and apply it in practice; ability to make independent decisions within one's competence; good computer and office equipment skills; communication skills and ability to interact with people; state language proficiency at an advanced level; ability to work under high stress, ability to organize one's work; attention to detail, ability to learn new information and manage large volumes of information; Category B driver's license (preferred).
