Rīgas Sociālais dienests Rīgas Sociālais dienests is announcing a competitive recruitment for a social worker position with social case management (profession code 2635 01). Rīgas Sociālais dienests is a subordinate institution of the Welfare Department of Rīga City Municipality that provides social assistance, organizes and delivers social services, and ensures assistant services to residents of Rīga in the municipality. Position objective - to provide professional support to adults in resolving social problems. We will entrust you with: performing social work with adults who cannot meet their own needs or find themselves in crisis situations; responding to threatening situations and immediately informing the responsible institutions in accordance with their competence; assessing the client's social situation and identifying problems; developing a social rehabilitation plan and implementing interventions; evaluating the effectiveness of social case management and the appropriateness of assigned services to client needs; within the scope of social work, conducting home visits, assessing living conditions, and providing consultations at the client's residence; reflecting the case management process and/or service provision in the client's file in accordance with regulatory requirements; informing and consulting clients about their rights and responsibilities, available social support and options for its realization, as well as clients' obligations in receiving social services; in the social case management process, using various social work theories and methods, and when necessary, representing the client's interests within your competence; preparing opinions and/or reports on cooperation with clients, preparing written responses to requests (submissions) in accordance with regulatory requirements; closing the client's file in accordance with requirements established in internal regulations. Decisions about closing a client's file must be justified, and the client must be informed; using the Municipality's Social Assistance Information System SOPA and other databases in your work. We expect: Education – first or second cycle higher education in social work or charitable social work, or students from the third year onwards studying in the social work field; good knowledge of Latvian language; skills in navigating regulatory documents; excellent computer and office equipment skills; contact culture and skills in communicating with people; ability to make independent decisions in accordance with your competence.
