Ādažu novada Municipality invites applications for SOCIAL WORKER in the field of social services for full-time employment for an indefinite period in Ādažu Municipality (Carnikava) Position objective: to provide social services and manage social cases in the municipality Requirements for candidates: professional higher education in social work or meeting the requirements specified in Article 41, paragraph 1 of the Social Services and Social Assistance Law; knowledge of regulatory acts governing the provision of social services and social assistance; ability to prepare decisions, letters, referrals, opinions, etc.; good computer skills, information systems and software proficiency, office equipment operation, ability to work with the social benefit administration information system (SOPA); ability to work in a team, take initiative and responsibility; ability to make quick and independent decisions in non-standard situations; ability to rationally organize one's work; ability to express one's opinion clearly and with reasoning; good communication, empathy, and listening skills; state language knowledge at an advanced level; work experience in social work will be considered an advantage. Key responsibilities: perform social work with persons with functional disabilities; organize and provide residents with necessary social services and grant benefits; in addressing social cases, identify and engage necessary resources while respecting the specifics of social work in various practice areas and maintain client files in accordance with methodological guidelines; conduct home visits; prepare decisions on the provision of social services; organize meetings with clients, other persons and institutions, preparing document drafts in accordance with record-keeping requirements; inform and consult clients about their rights to social services; work with the unified municipal social assistance administration electronic system SOPA and other systems.
