No. LV90000067986 Ropažu Municipality Social Service INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR SOCIAL WORKER (profession code 2635 01) We are seeking a social worker who with heart and humanitarian approach wants to help our residents, strengthen families, and build a safer community. Main duties: Provide professional assistance, allocate social services, promote reduction of multiple and long-term social problems of socially vulnerable persons, fostering their full social functioning, well-being, and social inclusion, perform social work with adult individuals: identify client's social problems and lead their resolution by engaging necessary resources and coordinating specialists from various fields; conduct assessment of client's individual needs, material and personal resources, and when necessary, visit the client at their place of residence; develop client's individual social rehabilitation plan and social assistance program, agree with the client on their participation in the implementation of the plan and program; promote client's independence and ability to resolve their own problems; maintain client files (individual social rehabilitation plan) reflecting the course of social case resolution; represent client's interests and rights; assess person's need for requested service, prepare documents and decisions for service allocation; control document circulation while observing deadlines; prepare response letters to clients and various institutions upon request; work with the unified social service administration electronic system SOPA. Requirements for candidates: second level professional higher education in social work, charitable social work, or final year student with planned acquisition of professional bachelor's degree in social work and social worker qualification; desired experience in social work; ability to provide professional support appropriately, sensitively and effectively according to client needs and engage appropriate services in crisis situations; knowledge of legal regulations governing social services and social assistance institutions in Latvia; skills in working with MS Office programs and office equipment, desired experience with Lietvaris, SOPA programs; excellent communication and cooperation skills, ability to work with clients in crisis situations; emotional resilience and professional attitude; ability to make decisions and assume responsibility; state language proficiency at advanced level; desired B category driving license.
