Jelgavas valstspilsētas pašvaldības iestāde "Jelgavas sociālo lietu pārvalde" (90001042284) invites applications for a Social Worker position in the Social Assistance Administration Department for a temporary replacement. Main job duties: 1. provide assistance and support to individuals in resolving social problems; 2. conduct social situation assessments of benefit recipient families (individuals) and agree on the main social problems causing low income; 3. evaluate family (individual) needs, material and personal resources; 4. assess client income and material situation and ensure benefits are allocated in accordance with regulatory acts; 5. calculate the amount of benefits to be awarded in accordance with regulatory acts; 6. conduct home visits to clients; 7. establish client co-responsibility duties to be performed for problem resolution and improvement of family social situation; 8. work with the Municipal Social Assistance and Social Services Administration application (SOPA). Requirements for candidates: 1. required education: 1.1. first cycle higher education in social work or charitable social work or be a student of the relevant study program who has completed at least 180 credit points in a full-time study program or at least 162 credit points in a part-time study program, or 1.2. be a student of a first cycle higher education study program in social work or charitable social work who has completed at least 120 credit points in a full-time study program or at least 108 credit points in a part-time study program, or 1.3. second cycle higher education in social work or charitable social work or be a student of the relevant study program who has completed at least 60 credit points in a full-time study program or at least 54 credit points in a part-time study program; 2. C level 1st degree state language proficiency; 3. good skills in working with Microsoft Office programs; 4. ability to work independently and in a team; 5. good communication, cooperation and argumentation skills; 6. ability to plan and organize your work.
