Join Our Team! Valmiera Municipality Government invites applications for a Social Worker position in the Social Affairs Department's Social Assistance Division (permanent contract). If you have the desire to: organize material support for low-income households and ensure the provision of material assistance and social guarantees to Valmiera Municipality residents; provide in-person consultations or respond to phone inquiries to inform Valmiera Municipality residents about their rights to social assistance and opportunities to exercise these rights, as well as their participation obligations; participate in professional and institutional collaboration in addressing social issues of social assistance recipients; and if you have: second-level professional higher education or academic higher education in social work, charitable social work (or you are a final-year student with a planned professional bachelor's degree in social work and social worker qualification); knowledge and skills to apply regulatory acts regarding the provision of social assistance; state language proficiency in accordance with the requirements of the State Language Law; competencies: strong communication, empathy, listening skills, precision and high sense of responsibility, ability to work in a team, ability to make quick and independent decisions in non-standard situations, ability to process large amounts of information; good user-level e-skills; advantage for candidates with knowledge and experience in organizing social assistance and working with the Social Assistance Administration Program (SOPA); Category B driving license; we offer: dynamic, interesting and responsible work and opportunities for implementing ideas in a development-focused Municipality; base salary during probation period €1258 before taxes, after probation period €1310 before taxes; opportunity to receive vacation benefits for work-life balance for good performance; employer co-financed health insurance after the end of probation period, as well as other social guarantees in accordance with work results and regulatory requirements; professional development and growth opportunities in a team of knowledgeable and responsive colleagues.
