The State Social Care Center "ZEMGALE" is the largest provider of long-term social care and social rehabilitation services in Latvia. We are inviting a SOCIAL CARE WORKER to work at the "Ziedkalne" branch.
Requirements for candidates:
Social care worker qualification or short-cycle higher education in social care or second-cycle higher education in social work or charitable social work, if also obtained short-cycle professional higher education and fifth-level professional qualification in social care or first-cycle higher education in social work or charitable social work and social worker qualification, if during studies or professional development education a part of study programs related to social care has been acquired of at least four credit points or 160 hours;
Desirable professional experience working with persons with mental health disorders.
Knowledge of regulatory acts related to the performance of job duties.
Responsibility, accuracy and honesty, ability to be client-oriented.
Valid electronic signature.
Main duties:
Ensure the provision of social care services to branch clients.
Help clients improve existing and acquire new social skills.
Inform and educate clients on matters related to their obligations and rights, as well as the procedure for receiving social services.
Ensure, at least once a year, assessment of clients' functional status and, in cooperation with social work specialists, develop an individual social care or social rehabilitation plan, according to clients' social care or social rehabilitation needs.
Ensure transparent information reflection in client files about the progress of the social care process and make entries in client files at least 1x per week about the progress of the social rehabilitation plan.
Implement clients' individual social care or social rehabilitation plans, modify and supplement them according to changes in the client's life situation.
Help clients adapt to the social and physical environment, promote integration into society.
Assess clients' personality, self-care abilities, physical and mental health status. Monitor changes in mental state, behavior and health status of clients in care. Inform on-duty nurses, psychiatrists about changes and make entries in the client's file.
Prepare and complete work documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and the procedures established in the institution.

Salary (gross) EUR 851–EUR 1220 according to professional experience and competencies, remuneration during probation period up to EUR 870;
Regular reduced working hours (35 hours per week)
25% monthly allowance for work related to special risk
Health insurance after 3 months of service
