About the Position We are approaching another season at Kläppen Ski Resort and are looking for snowboard instructors—both new and experienced—with high ambitions. Our staff group, together with the ski instructors, consists of approximately 35 people with many different personalities, but what we all share is a genuine passion for skiing, people, and personal development. By development, we mean that we work and train hard to create good conditions for becoming better ski instructors, skiers, and people. Kläppen's snowboard school's goal is to create a reputation for being the best snowboard school in the mountain world, and for the snowboard school to be synonymous with high expertise and service! To succeed with this, it is important that we are always professional and the products we offer are always of the highest class. But the single most important factor for achieving our goal is our staff; without them, we will never succeed. Therefore, we invest a lot of time in our staff, and we offer, among other things, a developmental in-house training program with full support and focus on individual development. The Ski & Snowboard School Department is part of the Sports Department, which also includes activities, performers, Kläppen guides, and events. Together, we are approximately 100 people. Responsibilities Work at Kläppen involves 100% work as a snowboard instructor. As a snowboard instructor, you will work on developing our guests and enhancing their experience at Kläppen. You will work with both group and private lessons and with guests of all ages. Kläppen's snowboard school also works with competitions and other events at Kläppen. The position is a seasonal employment starting in December through March/April. Salary is provided according to agreement. Qualifications To succeed as a snowboard instructor, you must be social and outgoing and passionate about creating and building relationships with people. We also consider it essential that you have a very strong passion for skiing and that you enjoy training of various kinds. Working as a snowboard instructor is something people do for several seasons; it is a profession to develop in, and it takes a few years before you become truly skilled. Therefore, we see that you have the ambition to work in ski school for several seasons when you apply to us. It is a merit if you have previously worked as a snowboard instructor.
