For over ten years, we have provided shelter for people in need of protection. We are a team of approximately ten people, and we are now seeking a new colleague for our communal housing! We have chosen to keep the facility name confidential to protect the locations where we operate. Those invited for interviews will be informed of the name of the secure housing facility. The position we are filling is at our communal housing located in central Scania. The position involves scheduled work hours (day, evening, night, and weekends). ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION Our secure housing consists of a 24-hour staffed communal housing facility and protected apartments. We recently received IVO approval, and with new framework agreements, the organization is entering an exciting development phase with good growth opportunities in an expanding organization. The communal housing provides shelter for women and children in need of protection from violence in close relationships and/or honor-related violence and oppression. Dogs, cats, and other small pets are welcome to stay at the facility. The communal housing has spacious common areas, counseling rooms, children's rooms, and a large kitchen. Residents have their own rooms with attached bathrooms. The facility is located in a natural setting with proximity to the city. In the protected apartments, we also accommodate male individuals seeking protection and other target groups such as defectors. Our team consists of highly committed individuals with compassion, knowledge, and good communication skills. The team includes several protection consultants working scheduled hours (communal housing), protection consultants working daytime hours (protected apartments), a child welfare specialist, a team leader, a security officer, and an operations manager/director. Since we daily meet people in need of protection in difficult situations, it is essential that we have strong commitment to helping people fleeing violence, threats, and oppression. We willingly go the extra mile for both residents and our commissioning parties (placing municipalities). We take great pride and satisfaction in our work with the hope that we can make a difference in the lives of vulnerable people. We are a flat organization that enables participation from both staff and protection seekers. YOUR PERSONAL QUALITIES You are a secure, stable, and clear person with excellent collaboration skills and a service-oriented approach. Empathy and solution-focused thinking are central qualities that you possess. As a person, you are communicative and professional in your interactions. You value building long-term relationships that create trust. We particularly welcome candidates with several years of experience from either HVB (residential care) or secure housing. RESPONSIBILITIES The position includes tasks such as · Supporting protection seekers in establishing and maintaining safety according to our procedures and checklists. · Working in a motivating and supportive manner with women and children in crisis. · Being a contact person for residents and collaborating with the security officer, child welfare specialist (if there are children in the family), and other team members. · Assisting residents with daily tasks, which may include transportation and shopping. · Writing implementation plans, monthly reports, final reports, and maintaining ongoing social documentation. · Some cleaning and housekeeping work is included in the position. · Carrying out interventions according to the implementation plan. · Actively participating in weekly meetings, workplace training, and supervision. · Participating in startup meetings, follow-up meetings, and closing meetings with residents and social services. · Maintaining ongoing contact with placing social services, based on contact person responsibilities. · Collaborating with other actors such as healthcare and government agencies. · Actively contributing to strengthening team spirit within the work group. · Possibly participating in client pick-up/drop-off. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements: · Relevant post-secondary education of at least 2 years in social work, such as treatment pedagogue, social worker, or behavioral scientist. · At least one year of work experience in secure housing or similar activities such as HVB. · Approved background check from the Police. · B-class driver's license Desirable and Meritorious: · You are over 25 years old to match our target group. · Training in risk assessment tools such as FREDA, PATRIARK, SARA, SAM. Also meritorious are parenting support programs, MI, and other training relevant to the organization. Great weight is placed on personal suitability, drive, and commitment.
