We are seeking an operations engineer with solid experience in combined heat and power and a strong interest in operations analysis, optimization, and development.

Combined Heat and Power is a business area within Skövde Energi where we produce district heating, electricity, and cooling in Skövde municipality. Our largest production facilities are located at Värmekällan, Energivägen, and Lövängverket. We also have smaller facilities within and outside the town.

Main Responsibilities
As an operations engineer, you will become a key technical person in production. You work closely with operations technicians to analyze how the facilities are operated, identify improvement opportunities, and develop common working methods.
We have extensive experience and knowledge within our shift teams. Your assignment will be to combine that experience with operations data and analysis to create stable, efficient, and consistent operations.
Your main tasks will be to:
Analyze operations data and monitor facility performance
Work with process and operations optimization and develop our operating strategies
Analyze operational disruptions and convert experience into concrete improvements
Develop and follow up on common working methods between shift teams
Develop operations instructions and procedures and ensure that these are followed and kept current
Participate in technical projects and investigations as the representative of operations
In this role, you are expected not only to identify improvement opportunities but also to drive them from analysis to implemented change and follow-up.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with solid experience in combined heat and power and a very good understanding of operational operations, processes, and facilities. You have good analytical skills and enjoy using operations data to understand relationships, identify deviations, and find improvement opportunities. At the same time, you have the practical understanding required to translate analysis into working methods in daily operations.
To succeed in this role, you need to be self-driven, proactive, and confident in your competence. You can challenge established working methods when there is reason to do so, while also being responsive and having the ability to build trust in an experienced operations organization.
Relevant post-secondary technical education is a merit. Equivalent competence acquired through solid work experience is considered equivalent. Experience with combustion processes, steam systems and turbines, flue gas cleaning, control and regulation technology, and process optimization is a merit.
