You will work certain shifts at the psychiatric emergency unit, which is located directly adjacent to the care ward.
You will collaborate with several stakeholders, including the municipality's psychiatry services and our psychiatric outpatient clinics. Our operations are characterized by strong patient focus, high quality and safety, as well as close cooperation between different professional groups.

About You
You are trained as a care attendant or nursing assistant, or you have an education that the employer considers equivalent. Previous work experience from psychiatry, treatment homes, or similar activities is a merit.
The role requires that you have excellent collaboration skills, that you are clear in your communication, and that you can provide patients with a low-affect approach. You enjoy varied work, are flexible in your work methods, and can easily adapt to changing circumstances.

Your Future Workplace
Department 21 is an acute and treatment ward. Primarily, patients are cared for according to the Act on Compulsory Psychiatric Care (LPT), but patients with substance abuse issues requiring care and detoxification are also treated here. Patients are also cared for on a voluntary basis. You meet patients with varying diagnoses, conditions, and needs, which makes the work varied and developmental.
This fall, we moved into the newly built psychiatric facility on the hospital grounds in Västervik, where we have now consolidated all adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry in the same building. You will have the opportunity to work in spacious, beautiful facilities with staff areas that offer beautiful views over the city of Västervik.
