We welcome applications from both male and female candidates. The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probation period. The position includes day, evening, overnight on-call, and weekend shifts according to a 4-week rotating schedule. We are a tight-knit team with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of laughter. We expect you to have completed a nursing program, mental health care worker training, or equivalent documented care or educational training. You are organized and skilled at motivating others. As a mental health care worker, your main responsibilities will be to base your support on the residents' individual needs and wishes and provide support in daily life using a pedagogical approach. You will function as support/assistance in everyday life for people with varying mental and social functional disabilities, some with comorbidities. Working towards increased independence by providing appropriate support based on individual circumstances, to make daily life as self-directed as possible for the residents. Together with other team members, you work with the goal of making the day meaningful and enriching for residents. You support and guide residents with, among other things, personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and to create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. You will participate in daily planning for ADL, activities, outings, and motivational conversations. ABOUT US Edebohemmet is a residential care home for 15 residents distributed in a main building and an annex with transitional apartments. It is beautifully located on the outskirts of Edebo in Roslagen, approximately 35 km from Norrtälje. You can reach us by bus or car. We serve men and women aged 18-65 with some form of mental functional disability. We have provided psychiatric care since 1977. Thus, there is extensive experience working with people in need of, among other things, mental and social care. Since 2006, we have focused on support and care for people with dual diagnoses (comorbidities). We work with contact person responsibilities, which means you serve as a contact person for several residents and are responsible for planning and follow-up of their services based on an implementation plan. Daily planning is conducted for ADL, activities, outings, and motivational conversations. We use the methods Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Low-Arousal Approach. The purpose of the conversation method is to promote motivation and behavioral change. Documentation is conducted continuously through journaling in Infosoc. We work with Individual Needs in Focus (IBIC), which is a method to identify and describe the individual's needs, resources, goals, and outcomes with a clear focus on the individual's own resources, goals, and active participation. Education/Experience You have completed a nursing program, mental health care worker training, or equivalent documented care or educational training. You need to have basic computer skills. The digital journal system and email are your most important work tools alongside contact with residents. We do not expect you to know the system beforehand, but you need to be able to learn it quickly. The work requires that you have very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. A Class B driver's license is required, to be able to transport residents to activities, appointments, or medical visits, etc., regardless of distance. You will work in a team environment where you are expected to be able to collaborate and have the ability to work independently. We place great importance on personal suitability. Includes work during day, evening, overnight on-call, and weekends. Some solo work occurs. You may be required to be on-call as needed. It is advantageous if you have work experience with this target group. It is advantageous if you have MI training.
