Job Responsibilities We work in teams where nurses and care attendants work in patient-focused care in care teams. Together with doctors and treatment personnel (psychologist, occupational therapist, social worker, family therapist, addiction therapist, physiotherapist, and nurse in outpatient care), you form a team with the patient at the center, a so-called patient team. Professional treatment and a humanistic value base form the foundation of the care process that is based on each patient's individual circumstances. On the ward, you work with direct patient care and with the tasks that are common on a care ward. You participate in ongoing care work as well as in the ward's routines. You observe and document activities performed with the patient and make bookings in digital systems. We always work with a focus on good safety and work environment. About the Workplace Forensic psychiatric full-time care in Västmanland operates from Sala. The unit is a regional clinic consisting of five inpatient wards with 69 care beds plus 2 custody beds, as well as an outpatient team with operations in Sala and Västerås. The wards include an admission/assessment ward, three rehabilitation wards with security class 2, and one class 3 ward. There is collaboration with other forensic psychiatric clinics in Sweden and the Prison and Probation Service. A total of approximately 200 employees work within the operation. Patients in Forensic Psychiatry have been committed to care by court under the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act - with or without special discharge examination. The care mission includes both the patient's treatment but also serves as community protection. You have personal maturity and are stable and confident in yourself. You can reflect on ethics and value-based issues and have a desire to work for equitable care. You have good knowledge of Swedish, have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, and can sensitively adapt your communication to different patients' needs. You demonstrate a non-judgmental approach and have the patient's best interest in focus, while being able to set boundaries for yourself and others. In stressful and changing situations, you have the ability to act professionally and be flexible. Your ability to inspire confidence creates good relationships with both patients and coworkers. Since the work sometimes involves physical tasks, good physical fitness is needed. A driver's license is an advantage.
