Unit 5 is a child and adolescent psychiatric care unit with 6 beds serving the entire Örebro region. We admit children and adolescents with serious psychiatric conditions for acute hospitalizations. Patients are cared for together with their guardian(s), and the goal of inpatient care is primarily to stabilize the acute condition so that they can return home and continue treatment in outpatient care. On Unit 5, we work in a cohesive multiprofessional team consisting of caregivers, nurses, social workers, physicians, teachers, and a unit manager. We actively engage in development work to professionally and safely fulfill our mission.
Duties
The work involves psychiatric care, including relationship building, supportive conversations, and motivation work, as well as collaboration with our outpatient services and other care partners.
Qualifications
We welcome you if you are a trained caregiver/nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on psychiatry according to the previous program structure, or are trained as a nursing assistant within the current program structure. You may also have completed caregiver training as a vocational (YH) education. To assess employability, grades from your care education and proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding your protected professional title must be included in your application.

About the Organization
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is part of specialized psychiatric care. The organization includes outpatient clinics, enhanced outpatient care, and an inpatient ward with acute services. A contact center for children and young people with mental health issues is also part of the organization, with the mission to provide counseling, make assessments, and triage to the appropriate level of care. We provide treatment both individually and in groups, as well as planned and acute visits, and telephone counseling. We also offer psychoeducational treatment services to patients and their relatives. Together, we are approximately 150 employees working with shared processes and goals. We work in multiprofessional teams based on a holistic view of the individual and adapt care interventions to the patient's needs and circumstances. We work to promote children's mental health and development as well as the involvement of relatives in their care.
