Your New Job As a school social worker in Jönköpings kommun, you work preventively and promotively to strengthen students' social and emotional development. You are an important collaboration partner for the school's student welfare team and work with students, guardians, and school staff, always with the student's best interests in focus. The work is primarily about supporting students' social development and relationship-building in order to create security in our schools. You become an important link between student, family, and school, and sometimes also between school and external actors such as social services, field teams, police, child psychiatric services, and leisure activities. You will be part of both the school's student welfare team and safety team. You are experienced in collaborating with various actors within schools, social services, and other parts of society, and have a strong ability to build trusting relationships. Your approach is solution-focused, you communicate clearly, and you treat people with warmth and respect. It is a merit if you have experience from residential care facilities, SiS, or work in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas. If you also have experience handling difficult conversations and collaborating across organizational boundaries, that is a great asset in this role. As a person, you are confident, attentive, and have an easy time reading situations and meeting people where they are.
