Hagabodaskolan is the municipality's secondary school and is centrally located in the community. We maintain high quality in teaching and student care, which was recently confirmed positively during the latest quality inspection by the School Inspectorate in fall 2025, where the school received the highest rating in all inspected areas. Student and staff satisfaction is high, and we have a very large proportion of qualified personnel. We place great emphasis on creating conditions together for pedagogical safety in all our classrooms. The school underwent a complete renovation a few years ago and is a modernized facility. Approximately 600 students attend the school. We are a growing municipality and our school will continue to expand. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This school social worker position is linked, among other things, to students with problematic school absence. The work aims to increase students' mental well-being and school attendance, and to identify and reach young people who are at risk and/or exhibit norm-breaking behavior. Your work will primarily be based on a relationship-building approach involving the school, social services, and the home. In your role, you will be important in creating conditions for these students to develop according to their own abilities and in accordance with educational goals. Together with teachers and other school staff, you will work to create a developing, meaningful, and positive environment for students. Activities and instruction are based on students' strengths, interests, and abilities. Your role will work closely with staff in our resource unit, and to some extent with teaching and special education teachers regarding planning and instructional design. Your role includes offering psychosocial support in various forms, motivational conversations, and support in creating structure. You will work with preventive and health-promoting interventions at both individual and group levels, designed in close collaboration with the school's health and welfare professionals. In your role, you will be an important piece of the puzzle in opening new pathways to learning in close cooperation with students and their guardians. You will help students who need alternative learning environments and/or smaller settings for part or all of the school day due to their school absence. The position aims to create opportunities to offer students with high school absence a place in a flexible group in an adapted learning environment, functioning as a "bridge" back to learning both during and after school hours. You will contribute to creating learning conditions in various ways and will also create activities for groups of students. Furthermore, you will provide ongoing support during instruction in regular classes and in the school's other activities. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone educated as a social worker (socionom) who preferably has experience with successful work promoting school attendance in grades 7-9. You are attentive, flexible, and have strong collaboration skills. Your greatest strength is that you have a natural ability to build positive relationships and use this relationship-building ability to successfully collaborate with students, guardians, work teams, the school's student support team, and school leadership. You are professional, have good judgment, and can set boundaries while remaining flexible to individual needs. The work requires that you have patience and can adapt your communication and approach to the situation. You can work independently and take initiative. It is a merit if you have good knowledge of and previous experience with pedagogical work with neurodevelopmental variations as well as attendance-promoting interventions at the secondary level. You have strong ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing. Employment Type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: October 19, 2026 or by agreement.
