You will be responsible for grades 3-9 and work in close collaboration with your colleague who is responsible for grades F-2 and adapted primary school. The school nurse role includes following students' development toward learning objectives, promoting health, conducting preventive work, implementing vaccination programs, organizing school doctor services, following the base program, and performing basic healthcare interventions. You are interested in working both with preventive health work and handling other tasks for a well-functioning medical student health service. You have a desire to develop a modern school nurse role together with the student health team, educators, and other colleagues in Malmö City's medical student health services. You work together with the school's student health team and staff and have a genuine interest in the school's students as well as a desire to support students in reaching their school goals. As a school nurse, you will also collaborate with guardians and other external activities and authorities. You work for a safe school environment that promotes health, learning, and security. The role also involves documentation in digital tools. Qualifications We are looking for you who already work as a school nurse or who want to develop further in your profession as a nurse. You are a licensed nurse with specialist training as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse. You need to have at least two years of experience as a nurse, and it is an advantage if you already have experience working as a school nurse. It is also an advantage if you have experience with health promotion work with children and young people. About the Workplace As a school nurse, you work under dual leadership. You are employed by the school principal but also have a central operations manager according to the Health and Medical Services Act who is the Medical Director responsible. You have close collaboration with both managers, who are responsible for providing you with a good introduction and ongoing support in your position. As a school nurse with us in Malmö City, you are part of a network with other school nurses at our schools throughout the city. In the network, you meet regularly and have annual continuing education on current topics. As a school nurse at Rosengårdsskolan, you implement the base program and participate in student health meetings, but you also have the opportunity to work with our value-based education and, together with your colleague, carry out health promotion and preventive measures. Among other things, we have introduced parent breakfast in preschool class where school nurses meet guardians and discuss issues such as diet, sleep, and exercise. Our student health team consists, in addition to the school nurses, of counselors, social pedagogues, school career advisors, special education teachers/educators, school psychologists, and school management. Together, we work both preventively and intervening to help our students reach as far as possible both socially and academically. Rosengårdsskolan is a school with 450 students from grades F-9 in primary school and just over 20 students in adapted primary school. Our after-school program is distributed across five units and works with learning throughout the day. The majority of students have Swedish as a second language.
