Höglandsförbundet is a municipal federation formed by Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. These five municipalities on the Småland highlands value collaboration and know that we become stronger together. By combining our strengths and resources, we can increase competence, make better use of resources, improve quality, and provide residents with better service. We currently have a range of different operations working for the benefit of the entire Högland region.
Within Höglandsförbundet is also Högland's education collaboration, which currently consists of Höglands Gymnasium with schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. In total, we are approximately 550 employees working to ensure our approximately 3,000 students receive high-quality education that prepares them for the future in working life or continued studies. In the summer of 2026, Högland's adult education programs will also join, and they will be located in Sävsjö, Eksjö, and Nässjö.

Your New Job
We're seeking a school nurse for Höglandsförbundet with primary placement at Brinell Gymnasium in Nässjö.
As a school nurse, you are responsible for the medical aspects of student health services. Your mission is to work preventively and health-promotingly to ensure all students have the best possible conditions for learning, health, and development.
In this role, you contribute medical expertise to the multidisciplinary student health work. Together with the student counselor, special education teacher, study and career counselor, and principal, you work to create a safe and inclusive school environment where each student receives support to achieve the education's goals.
You independently plan, implement, and follow up on the medical aspects of student health services. Your duties include offering and conducting health visits, vision and hearing screenings, and vaccinations. You document, follow up, and evaluate interventions according to current guidelines and contribute to high quality and patient safety in the operations. You are responsible for documenting your work in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act and the Patient Data Act, and you use the Prorenata Journal system for proper and legally secure documentation.
As a school nurse, you are part of the school's student health team and simultaneously work closely with other school nurses within the central student health services. Through regular meetings and joint development work, you contribute to strengthening and developing the medical aspects of student health services. To ensure new employees have a secure start, we offer mentorship within the school nurse group.
About You
We're looking for you to be a registered nurse with preferably specialist training in child and youth health, district nursing, primary health care, or school nursing. It's also advantageous to have experience in school health or child and youth medicine. You need good IT skills and strong ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written. A driver's license (Class B) is required.
As a person, you work well collaboratively and have a strong ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You understand and empathize with others' situations and enjoy working with young people and seeing them grow and develop. In your daily work, you take responsibility for planning your own work and drive it forward. You plan and make well-considered priorities and have a good ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You enjoy working together with your colleagues to jointly develop the operations.
About Us
This position is located at Brinell Gymnasium together with one other school nurse. Together, you are responsible for the medical aspects of student health services at Brinell. You will also be part of a group with seven other school nurses for the entire Höglandsförbundet who work together to develop the school nurse role within the broader student health work at Höglands Gymnasium. We are in a development phase and are now working to deepen collaboration between school nurses at the different school units.
At Brinell Gymnasium, there are approximately 200 employees and 1,100 students. Brinell Gymnasium offers 14 national programs and has a national sports gymnasium in bowling, national sports education programs in bandy and basketball, and local sports education programs in basketball, football, and ice hockey.
Good to Know
To verify that you hold a nursing license, we ask you to attach a valid license obtained from Socialstyrelsen (the National Board of Health and Welfare).
As a finalist in the recruitment process, it is a requirement under the Education Act that you provide a certificate from the criminal records register for work in schools. You request this register extract on the police website.
If you are called for an interview, you must be able to verify your citizenship. You do this by presenting a valid passport or a national ID certificate together with a valid ID document. A national ID certificate is ordered from the Swedish Tax Agency through my pages. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland, you must also be able to present a valid residence and/or work permit to work in Sweden. Employment can only take place after the work permit has been verified, in accordance with the Aliens Ordinance.
