We are now looking for you to help develop student health services at Bergaskolan as a school nurse.
One of our two school nurses has moved on to another assignment, and we need a colleague so we can continue our collaborative work. The school nurse's responsibilities include monitoring students' progress toward learning objectives, conducting health promotion and prevention work, implementing vaccination programs, organizing school doctor appointments, following the base program, and performing basic healthcare services. You are interested in working with preventive health initiatives as well as handling other tasks that come with a well-functioning medical student health service. You have the desire to develop a modern school nurse role together with the student health team, educators, and other colleagues in Malmö City's medical student health services. You work together with the school's student health team and staff and have a genuine interest in the school's students as well as a desire to support them in reaching their goals. As a school nurse, you will also collaborate with guardians and other external activities and authorities. You work to create a safe school environment that promotes health, learning, and security. The position also includes documentation in digital tools.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who already works as a school nurse or wants to further develop your career as a nurse. You are a licensed nurse with specialist training in pediatric nursing, district nursing, or school nursing. You need to have at least two years of experience as a nurse, and it is advantageous if you already have experience working as a school nurse. It is also advantageous if you have experience with health promotion work with children and youth.
As a person, you are structured and organized in your work, and you take responsibility and feel confident in your role.

About the Workplace
As a school nurse, you have dual reporting lines. You are employed by the school principal but also have a central operations manager according to the Health and Medical Services Act who is medically responsible. You work closely with both managers, who ensure you receive a good introduction and ongoing support in your position. As a school nurse with us in Malmö City, you are part of a network with other school nurses in our schools around the city. You meet regularly in the network and participate in annual training on current topics.
Bergaskolan is a grades F-9 primary school with after-school care, as well as two classes in adapted primary education and short-term stay programs. The school has two school nurses. This notice is directed toward a school nurse with a focus on our older students. Of course, you will work closely together within the entire student health team, and the principal is the direct manager for our collaborative work on each student's development toward the school's goals.
