What We're Looking For
We want you to be a licensed nurse with further training as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse, and we place great demands on independence in your professional role. Experience of working in upper secondary school is an asset. Therefore, we place great importance on your personal qualities.
We are looking for you as a dedicated school nurse who wants to contribute to developing both your own professional profile and student health work together with your colleagues.
Job Responsibilities
The school nurse works according to the overarching mandate for school operations as presented in the school's governance documents and is part of the school's student health team together with, among others, the principal, counselor, and special education teacher. The school doctor and school psychologist are also part of the student health team.
Your job responsibilities primarily involve health promotion and prevention work, conducting health consultations, organizing school doctor appointments, and performing basic healthcare interventions. Your responsibilities also include working with our student health team to further develop the school nurse role. As a school nurse, you will also collaborate with guardians and other activities and authorities outside the school. You work for a safe school environment that promotes health, learning, and security. Documentation is done in electronic medical records (PMO).
Student health work is largely based on the student health team's collaborative work, which is led by the principal. Student health works together with other staff in our collective effort to ensure all students achieve their goals. Student health and the school nurse's work are central to this effort.
