In your role as a school nurse, you will be part of the central child and student health services where we work for interdisciplinary student health development. You are an important part of the school's student health work. In your position as a school nurse, the placement will primarily be at the upper secondary school but also at adapted school. Key Responsibilities - Be part of the school's student health team where we always focus on the connection between learning and health to work in a health-promoting and preventive manner and support students in achieving their goals. - Work together with the principal, educators, students, guardians, school counselor, and special education teacher; maintain close collaboration with the other school nurses. - Work in a health-promoting manner according to the base program "Guidance for Student Health" from the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Swedish National Agency for Education. - Conduct health conversations, health screenings, health education, and vaccinations. - Contribute knowledge about protective and risk factors for students' health, learning, and development. Your Qualifications For this position, you are required to: - Be a licensed nurse with specialist education as a pediatric nurse or district nurse, or alternatively have school nurse-specific higher education. - Have a valid driver's license (category B). It is particularly meriting if you have: - Experience working with young people. - Knowledge of adapted school. - Experience collaborating with other functions. - Access to your own car. Who Are You? You have a good ability to meet and listen to people in different situations. It is important to us that you have a big heart, drive, and commitment for our students. You should be able to work independently but also have ease in collaborating with others – we would like to see that you have experience with interdisciplinary work. You should be flexible and able to structure work based on regulations and the needs of the operations. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
