As a school nurse, you will work closely within the IES Student Health Team, as well as with school leadership, teachers, mentors, and student support staff. We are now recruiting for the fall a complete new school nursing team for grades F-9, which will be divided between two school nurses. The positions are full-time and include standard duties according to the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Swedish National Agency for Education guidelines, such as: - Health consultations and health check-ups - Open clinic for students - Doctor's clinic - Vaccinations - Preventive and health promotion work - Health information in the form of lessons/seminars to students You will work closely with the school's other school nurse and collaborate with the principal and other professionals in the student health team to support students' development toward the goals of their education. Cooperation with the municipality and other institutions as well as contact with guardians is a natural part of the work. The central student health medical team at IES consists of MLA, coordinating school nurses, and resource nurses who work in close collaboration with school nurses at the schools. From the central medical health team, we offer, among other things, orientation for new employees, regular network meetings and trainings, and close availability for support and questions. Qualifications: - Licensed nurse with specialist training in: child and youth health, district nursing, or school nurse program - Previous experience as a school nurse is a merit We are looking for someone who: - Has a genuine interest in children's and young people's health and development - Is flexible, engaged, and takes initiative - Has good collaboration skills and enjoys working in a team - Is passionate about health promotion and preventive work both in the classroom, at school, and beyond Employment form: Permanent employment with 6 months probation.
